Heather & Aaron's Wedding

Considering the forecast for thunderstorms, Heather was one of the most calm and collected brides. She and her bridesmaids got ready in her childhood bedroom in her parents' home, while the men played pool downstairs and Aaron waited impatiently for his bride. I wasn't sure what to expect when Heather told me she wanted to do their First Look at her parents' house, and I certainly wasn't expecting gorgeous forested gardens.

Someone (or lots of someones) must have been praying hard because the weather held and Heather and Aaron had a lovely wedding outside at Nostalgia. I learned at their engagement shoot that the two of them love being outdoors, and their decor worked perfectly with that theme. Though we had fun all day, their guests really let loose at the reception and there were so many awesome dance moves! One of the highlights of the reception, though, was that Heather & Aaron decided to have a Lithuanian wedding cake. This was hands down the most unique cake I've seen, and it's made by dripping batter onto a spinning rod over a heat source. What a fabulous way to personalize their wedding.

Heather and Aaron, thank you so much for welcoming me into your wedding day. It was an honor and a pleasure to get to know (and reconnect with!) your family and friends.
