Our Maternity Session

Happy December! As of today I'm officially on maternity leave, as our little one is due in 5 days (yikes!), and I figured I should share these images before he arrives. My dear friend Kristian of Photography by Kristian Golick shot these for us, and I know we'll treasure them for years to come.

As we wait for our little man's arrival I'm doing my best to be patient and to prepare well. From what we've heard, we will no longer sleep once the baby arrives and labor is exhausting, so I'm resting, reading, packing our hospital bag, and doing all our Christmas shopping. He's moving around a lot these days, though the doctor has assured me that his head is down and low in my pelvis. I picked up a birth ball (okay, it's really just an exercise ball) last night and bouncing on that has been helping with the lower back discomfort I've been experiencing. Overall, my entire pregnancy has been straightforward and about as easy as can be. Let's hope labor goes the same way!
