Road Trip Travels: Santa Barbara to Joshua Tree

At the beginning of September I traveled to California with my mom and little one to photograph a wedding in Santa Barbara. It was a simply stunning day and you can check it out here if you'd like.

A few days after the wedding we embarked on a road trip from California to Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. Wow. We saw so much (we visited 5 national parks + 1 national preserve in 6 days) and I loved seeing how the landscape transitioned as we drove. These are my personal travel photos, so you'll see a mix of landscapes, goofy road side attractions, and my baby bear experiencing the trip.

Check back for the next installment!

Santa Barbara, CA

Jack's favorite toys on the trip. He has a John Deere lunch box to carry them in and they went everywhere with us.

Entering Joshua Tree NP

I adored Joshua Tree, though we only spent a few hours there. It was such a magical place with beautiful light, few people, and incredible plants and rocks.

Another roadside attraction - Seven Magic Mountains by Swedish artist Ugo Rondinone. It's located in the desert outside Las Vegas and features seven thirty to thirty-five foot tall totems made from locally-sourced boulders. Find more info here.
